Nowadays Internet
has increased its roles in our works and daily life
more. Many internet systems have been developed to increase
convenience, reduce costs, and increase channels in
communication, and also business such as
VOIP (Voice Over Internet)
is the internet communication by using voice. We can
use equipment like IP Phone both pure digital, and analog
like ATA (Analog Telephone Adapter) or using softeware
like softphone or messengers. These wil help reduce
the phone usage costs. The two well-known technologies
are Sip (Session Initial Protocol), and H323. The ITSP
(Internet Telephony Service Provider) operator will
be the center in connecting the network. The key reason
that makes VOIP popular is globalization,
and also other benefits such as better hardware, quality,
expenses and costs.
iPBX (Internet Private
Branch Exchange) or phone branch systerm via internet
has two key systems for local, and international calls.
The first system is PBX, which used to be only equipment.
Now this system is equipped by digital, and a link with
ITSP. The second group is Soft iPBX which is softeware-based
operation. This system requires other networking devices
such as ATA box or IP Phone. The iPBX system not only
covers current fuctions of PBX, but also help reduce
the phone call costs between branch to branch, or virtual
office.
From above, we have seen that there
are lots of new internet services. This reminds use
to the time when email was first launched to be another
communication channel, and finally almost replce the
traditional letter. It is widely used nowaday due to
its high speed, and low cost.
